2010 Review
On the field the boys should be very proud of what they achieved, as they continued
to improve right up to the last game. After a win in round 1 things went a little backwards while the boys learnt the importance of playing for each other. With 3 rounds to go it all clicked into place with a come from behind win, a 96pt win and a hard fought win over one of the eventual Lightning Premiership finalists. This gave us great momentum into the Lightning Premiership on a day when many opposition teams saw us as the easy beats being ranked 9th out of the 10 teams. How wrong they were! The lightning Premiership was a huge day for the boys and I was extremely proud and emotional of the way they attacked the ball and won all 3 rounds to advance to semi finals knocking out the heavy weights along the way. In a close game, we just missed out but you could not have asked for a better end to the season. Standing together in the circle after the last game and having the team look into each others eyes and see the spirit, tears and disappointment on their faces is a memory that will stay with me forever. It also brought a feeling of pride that will be hard to top.
